Course Syllabus
1: Fundamentals of Electronics & Safety
2 weeks
Basics of voltage, current, resistance; AC/DC; ESD safety; handling components; using multimeter; identifying electronic components (resistors, capacitors, ICs); soldering & desoldering practice.
2: PC Hardware & Assembly
3 weeks
Identifying computer components: motherboard, processor, RAM, HDD, SSD, SMPS, display, keyboard, mouse. Assembling desktop PC, connecting cables, BIOS setup, and installing operating system (Windows/Linux).
3: Laptop Disassembly & Component Identification
3 weeks
Laptop specific hardware: inverter, LCD panel, webcam, battery, adapter, heat sink, fan. Step-by-step disassembly/reassembly of different laptop models. Identifying common form factors and connectors.
4: Troubleshooting & Diagnostic Techniques
4 weeks
Systematic fault finding: power-on failures, beep codes, display issues, overheating, battery not charging, keyboard/touchpad not working. Using diagnostic cards, multimeter, oscilloscope; software diagnostics tools.
5: Chip-Level Repair & Soldering
4 weeks
Advanced motherboard repair: identifying faulty ICs, MOSFETs, capacitors; replacing DC jack, charging IC, BIOS chip; BGA soldering, rework station usage; fixing short circuits, dead motherboard troubleshooting.
6: Operating System & Software Issues
2 weeks
Installing/configuring Windows 10/11, drivers; bootable USB creation; data recovery; virus removal; partitioning; backup & restore; troubleshooting blue screen, driver conflicts, slow performance.
7: Peripherals, Networking & Business
2 weeks
Repairing printers, scanners, monitors. Basic networking: crimping, configuring routers, IP settings. Setting up repair shop, customer handling, billing, warranty policies, and marketing your services.
