Introduction to design principles, color theory, space planning, furniture styles, historical design movements, and basic sketching techniques. Understanding client requirements and creating mood boards.
2: Technical Drawing & AutoCAD
1 month
Mastering AutoCAD for creating floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings. Learning drafting standards, dimensioning, and creating construction documents for residential projects.
3: 3D Modeling with SketchUp
2 month
Creating 3D models of interior spaces, importing furniture and fixtures, applying materials and textures, and generating walkthrough animations. Learning to create photorealistic presentations.
4: Advanced Visualization with 3DS Max
3 month
Advanced 3D modeling, lighting techniques, material creation, and rendering with V-Ray. Creating professional quality renderings for client presentations and portfolio development.
5: Materials, Textures & Sustainability
4 month
Understanding different materials (wood, stone, fabrics, metals), their properties, applications, and costs. Learning sustainable design practices, green materials, and energy-efficient solutions.
6: Professional Practice & Portfolio
5 weeks
Client management, project costing, business development, creating professional portfolios, and preparing for job interviews. Working on capstone projects and receiving industry feedback.
